During the COVID-19 pandemic, I collaborated with Qtel to develop a hand sanitizer machine using spare car parts from the Maruti Suzuki window cleaning mechanism due to severe supply chain disruptions.

Sheet metal manufacturing poses unique challenges for designers, as the production process often limits the range of shapes, particularly curves. We named the device “The Beak” because, after experimenting with various bird-inspired forms, the only detail that was both aesthetically pleasing and manufacturable was a small cover bent to resemble a beak.
